In Memory of Belle Cunningham


March 12, 1931 - May 13, 2024

Belle Cunningham, 93, passed away on May 13, 2024, in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. Born on March 12, 1931, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Belle also lived in San Dimas, California; St. Petersburg, Florida; Washington DC; and Milltown, Wisconsin. She embraced life with an infectious spirit of faith, love, and endless adventure.

Belle leaves behind her daughter Cynthia (Bill) Miller, her grandson Brad (Jessica) Swenson, and great-grandson Payton Moffitt. She now reunites with her late husbands, Charles Cunningham and Walter Swenson, her son Neil Swenson, and her parents Sarah and John Greenwood.

Belle was actively involved at East Balsam Baptist Church and with other community organizations near her most recent home in Milltown, WI. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and providing comfort and support to those around her.

Belle’s passion for sewing, quilting, and crocheting resulted in beautiful creations that brought warmth and joy to many. Her love for puzzles showcased her patient and methodical nature, turning challenges into delightful conquests. Belle was an avid animal lover. She loved her kitties.

Grateful for the love and support of her cherished family, friends, and community, Belle's heart overflowed with appreciation. Her legacy is a quilt of kindness and gratitude, lovingly stitched together by the many lives she touched.

Belle will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched, the community she nurtured, and the family she adored. She leaves behind a trail of smiles, warm hugs, and countless happy memories.

A memorial service will be held at East Balsam Baptist Church (1816 108th St, Balsam Lake, WI 54810) at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
