In Memory of Barbara J. Redlich
On March 30, 2023, Barbara Jean Redlich, age 84, passed away peacefully, in her sleep at Divine Nursing Home and Rehab in St. Croix Falls, WI.
Barb was born on September 29, 1938, in Pepin, WI to Harold and Francis Stein. After graduating from Pepin High School, Barb moved to St. Paul, MN where she worked various job and began to write letters to Lyle Redlich while he served in the military. After Lyle’s service, they met and continued their lives together.
Lyle and Barb married on May 10, 1958, together they had a successful career operating the Leebardale dairy farm in Osceola, WI. Outside of her beloved farm duties, Barb enjoyed being an aide within the St. Croix Falls school district. She was also an active participant of the Grace Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, Polk County Extension Homemakers Association, Pleasant Lake 4-H club, Osceola Township Election Officer and Polk County Fair. Barb’s hobbies included gardening, photography and collecting cookbooks.
Those left to cherish Barb’s memory include her husband, Lyle; children, Larry (Karry), Susan (Dan) Hanson and Kenn Redlich; grandchildren, BobbieJo (Brice) Thieman, Jodi (Billy) McKusick, Mitchell (Michaela) Hanson and Nicole Hanson (Seth Holmes); great-grandchildren, Maja Coleman, Gretta and Maverick McKusick and Ernest Hanson; siblings, Marshall (Nancy) Stein, Ardis (Don) Marquis and Robert Stein; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Barb is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Francis Stein; two sisters, Marie and Jeanette and six brothers, Raymond, Richard, James, Duane, Cameron and Dale.
