Ardene P. LaChapelle, age 80, of Rice Lake, formerly of Barron, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Our House in Rice Lake.

Ardene was born on July 18, 1943 to Maurice and Pearl (Briggs) Cairns in Frederic. She married Thomas LaChapelle, on June 12, 1965 in Superior.

She is survived by her son, Thomas, II of Barron; brother-in-law, Fred (Crystal) Flatten of Superior; as well as nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Judy Flatten; and brother, Ronald Cairns.

There will be a graveside service for Ardene on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Wayside Cemetery in Barron.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
