Anton Frey of Sarona, WI passed away on April 10th, 2025 at this home surrounded by his family. He was 96 years old.

Anton is survived by his wife, of 71 years, Gloria; his daughter, Jan (Jeff) Johnston; his sons, Tony (Kelle) Frey, Tim (Alicia) Frey, Pete Frey and Pat (Laurie) Frey; his grandchildren, Andy (Emily) Frey, Steven (Lauren) Frey, Ben Frey, Nell (Andy) Hanken, along with extended family grandchildren, Emma, Wes, Jacki, Ashley and Dayna; give great-grandchildren (soon to be six); and numerous other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; and son, Jim Frey.

Anton served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953. He returned to Sarona where he was a dairy farmer until retiring in 1996. After retiring, he and Gloria spent many winters in Tucson Arizona. Anton loved to shoot trap, hunt and fish, shooting his last buck at age 93.

There will be a Military Service for Anton and his family at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery with the Haugen American Legion Post 540 performing the honor guard duties, and Father Phil Juza presiding.

The family wants to thank Regional Home Hospice for their support and comfort.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends is being planned.
