In Memory of Ann Hraychuck


July 24, 1951 - June 6, 2021

Ann Marie Hraychuck (Hoehne), 69, of Ashley, ND went to heaven Sunday, June 6th, 2021, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Ann was born in Amery, WI on July 24, 1951.

Ann graduated from Unity High School in 1969. She was honored with the Hall of Fame from Unity High School as well.

She was married to David N. Hraychuck in 1999.

Ann was employed with the Polk County Sheriff’s Department for 32 years. She held many positions within that department which included Office Secretary, all the way to Sheriff of Polk County. She was a homicide and sexual abuse investigator. She also worked throughout Wisconsin, teaching how to investigate these crimes. She received numerous honors and awards throughout her career.

Ann retired from the Sheriff’s Department and served as the 28th State Assembly Representative for the state of Wisconsin, which she served 2 terms. She then went on to become a Security Specialist for the Department of Homeland Security (FEMA). She traveled throughout the United States for her position.

Ann loved deer and bear hunting, as well as fishing and anything related to the outdoors. She was the first women to be elected as President of the Polk County Sportsmen’s Club.

Ann was respected by the community whether a friend, co-worker, victim or total stranger.

She will be dearly missed by family, friends and who ever has come across her path in life.

She leaves to celebrate her memory: husband, David Hraychuck, stepson, David Hraychuck, stepdaughter, Katherine (Tim) Sperry, and Grandson, William, siblings, Beth (Rich) Lissick, Janice Hoehne (Tom Horst), Bob Hoehne, Ted Hoehne, Charlie Hoehne and many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, Anita and Ed Hoehne Jr., brother, Bill Hoehne and her sister, Karen Barnes.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Balsam Lake on Tuesday, June 22nd at 1:00 P.M. Ann’s family will greet visitors at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
