Angie P Lundin, age 91, of Dresser, WI, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024, surrounded by family at the St. Croix Regional Medical Center in St. Croix Falls, WI.

Angie was born April 9, 1932, to parents, William C and Helen P Porter, in Minneapolis, MN.

She attended West High School, graduating in 1950. She entered the University of Minnesota and graduated with a Bachelors in Recreation. Angie was raised riding horses on her Grampa’s farm and enjoyed the outdoors. Her family often went camping and canoeing on the St. Croix River. Angie met her future husband C. David “Dave” Lundin during the summer of 1950 at Deer Lake, WI. Angie knew he was “the one” by December of that year, but due to Naval regulations, they had to wait until after Dave’s graduation before they were finally wed on June 18, 1955. In their 68 years of marriage, they were blessed with 3 boys: Mark, Greg, and Peter. The early years of marriage found the couple living where the Navy sent them – Norfolk, VA; Pensacola, FL; Corpus Christi, TX; and Bermuda - before moving back to Minnesota where the boys were raised in Bloomington. Angie was always very active in every community she called home. While in Bloomington, among other organizations, she volunteered with the Servicemen’s Center at the airport and was very active with the American Heart Association and led many blood drives. In 1982, Dave and Angie moved into their home in Dresser, WI, (affectionately named “Waterlot” after a favorite Bermuda restaurant) – where Angie became an active member in the community, serving in the St. Croix Valley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in St. Croix Falls. Among other duties, Angie was the historian of her church and a member of the church council. Joining a writers group, Angie learned to share her life experiences, with the aid of paper and pen. Angie was an avid square dancer and served as Queen of her club for a year. Square dancing conventions were an opportunity to travel and explore distant cities and countries, often with a granddaughter or two in tow.

Angie loved flowers, gardening and building fairy villages for competition in the fair. Scrapbooking was also a passion which allowed her creativity to shine. She had an appreciation for classical music and the arts, and she enjoyed supporting and attending plays at Festival Theater in St. Croix Falls.

A devout Christian, Angie was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church. She supported Luther Point Bible Camp in Grantsburg, WI, which her own grandchildren attended.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Roger; her loving husband, Dave; and son, Peter.

Angie is survived by sons, Mark (Debra) and Greg (Dawn); grandchildren, Ryan (Suzie), Amy (Jeff) Beale, Ashley, Marysue LeClair, and Kristi Frieburger; great-grandchildren, Tyson, Summer Beale, and Brady Beale; and other extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial preferred to Friends of Interstate and Straight Lake Parks; Bethesda Lutheran Church Memorial Scholarship Fund; Luther Point Bible Camp; St. Croix Festival Theatre; American Heart Association or donors’ choice of charity.
