Andrew Paul “Andy” Bratko, age 38, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at his residence in Hayward, WI.

He was born on December 26, 1984, the son of Michael and Laura (Janicki) Bratko.

Andy graduated from Lake Park High School in Roselle, IL. He continued his education at Southern Illinois University earning his bachelor’s degree in Restaurant and Hospitality Management. Andy would later start his own business, Airtime HVAC based out of Medinah, IL. He wanted to start his own bar and restaurant, so he packed everything up and moved to Hayward to get started. After several months and countless hours of labor, Andy was ready to open the Smith Lake Bar and Grill. Andy loved the Northwoods and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his parents, Michael and Laura Bratko of Winter, WI; his brother, Timothy Bratko of Peoria, IL; his niece, Isabella Bratko of Fresno, CA; his grandmother, Lory Janicki of Winter, WI; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank Janicki, and Walter and Josephine Bratko.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
