In Memory of Allan K. Brackee

January 22, 1944 - January 12, 2024

Allan Brackee passed away in his home on January 12, 2024 with his family around him.

Allan was preceded in death by his wife, Carole; his parents, Wallace Sr. and mother Mattie (Green); step-mother, Jeannette (Blood); sister, Duretta; brother, Jerry (Linda); step-sister, Sharon Selle; and brothers Robin and Wallace Jr. (Bev).

Allan is survived by half brother, Richard (Chris) Brackee; daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Lynch and Tammy (Keith) Brackee; granddaughter, Hannah (Matt) Goulet; great-granddaughter, Annabelle; grandson, Cody Brackee; and other numerous family and friends.

Allan grew up in rural Clayton on the family dairy farm, graduated in 1962 from Clayton Schools and attended Dunwoody College of Technology where he received a degree in auto mechanic/fabrication. Around this time he met his wife Carole, they were married in 1964 and lived the majority of their lives in rural Clayton.

He loved working with his hands, loved to tear things apart, rebuild and make them better (or so he thought), many farmers were appreciative of this skill set. In their early years of marriage, Allan and Carole had a truck pulling rig, Truck Stop II, which they enjoyed doing for many years. Allan had many jobs throughout his life; auto mechanic, working for the railroad and retired from St. Croix Truck and Trailer.

Allan loved going to Montana hunting with his brother Jerry, which they did often, and visiting with family who lived there. He could build anything out of metal but not so much with wood carpentry.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Adoray Home Health and Hospice and everyone that was part of his care. A very special thank you to all of their friends who helped whenever they could.

A celebration of Allan’s life will take place at a later date to be announced.
