Albert George Johnson, 79 of Cumberland passed away peacefully on May 23rd 2024.

Albert was born May 5th 1945 in Cumberland. He was the fourth son of seven born to Emmanuel and Charlotte (Gillson) Johnson. Albert graduated from Cumberland High School in 1963 and married classmate Kathleen Vaughn in 1965.

Albert and Kathy farmed in rural Cumberland while raising a family of two sons and one daughter. After retiring from the farm in the mid 1990's, Albert worked for the Township for a number of years. Albert enjoyed working in the woods, bible study, socializing with friends and family, camping, and road trips all across America.

Albert is survived by his sons, Scott (Colleen) and Steve (Brook); a daughter, Melissa (Brian) Pinkerton; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; as well as brothers, Claire (Marge) Johnson, Elmer (Hannah) Johnson, Martin (Karen) Johnson, Marvin (Soodjai) Johnson and Andy (Yolanda) Johnson.

Albert's wife, Kathy; parents, Emmanuel and Charlotte; and brother, Melvin, preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
