In Memory of Alan G. Heyer
Alan George Heyer, 90, of Clayton, WI passed away on October 6, 2023 in the City of Eau Claire surrounded by family.
Alan was born at home in Clayton to George and Ione Heyer on August 30, 1933.
He went to Clayton School. He married Suzanne Letson on June 10, 1961, at St. Joseph Church in Amery. He was a farmer most of his life but also worked as a school bus driver, tourist bus driver to travel the country, and drove grain truck which he finally retired from 2 weeks before his 90th birthday.
He enjoyed many activities including bowling, motorcycle riding, golfing, playing farkle and cards, and most of all hanging out with his friends.
Alan is survived by his wife of 62 years, Suzanne Heyer; son, Alan (Elizabeth) Heyer; daughters, Angela (John) Wyss, Catherine Stamper (Kevin Peterson), Sheila (Jim) Voster; sister, Georgia Leverty; brother, Dennis Heyer; grandchildren, Jeremy Heyer, Bradley Heyer, Jacob Heyer, Alexandra Austin, Samantha Moeller, Oscar Wyss, Becca Wyss, Drew Stamper, John Stamper, Jake Stamper, Brittany Bakos, and Ashley McClelland; great-grandchildren, Michael, Coby, Violet, Ivy, Mayva, Mara, Merik, Drew Jr, Nevaeh, Maia, Luke, Michael, Aubrey, Mackenzie, and Riley; and his best friend, Lyle Carlson.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ione Heyer; step-parents, Oscar and Elizabeth Nordeen; brother, Jerry Heyer; sister, Janice Lee; sister-in-law, Judy Gaines; great-grandchild, Baby Moeller; and other family members and friends.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to all the people that have given their support during this very difficult time.
A visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 7:00 pm.
Celebration of Life will be 1:00-5:00 pm on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the Clear Lake Golf Club.
