Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad is Open!

Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad is Open!

Operating Tuesday through Saturday the Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad will be starting its first year round season with accommodations for all.

The 21st season for The Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad is sure to be one of the best ones yet. This is already the seventh season having the Bed and Breakfast Dinner Train and for the first time ever it will be operating year round. The Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad is honored to call itself one of just a few Heritage Railroads that is able to run its train year round and America’s only moving Bed and Breakfast train.

The train offers a variety of accommodations for guests during this winter season including the Bed and Breakfast Train, Dinner Train, and a Dinner Train Motel Stay Package, all at the low winter rates. With the smaller crowds this time of year it promises to be an intimate experience that you won’t forget. The train cars are all equipped with halogen lights that make the snowy country side sparkle during the three hour scenic ride through the north woods of Wisconsin.

General Manager of the Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad Greg Vreeland is excited to say, “The 2017 season is going to be one for the books. We have a lot to look forward to and can’t wait to get the trains running down the tracks.”

All trips will include complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a four course meal prepared aboard the train, and full bar service in a 50’s vintage lounge while riding on restored cars from the Golden Era (1910-1950). Bed and Breakfast guests will be treated to a hot breakfast buffet in the morning to complete their stay.

A complete schedule of the train and further information regarding reservations is available at www.spoonertrainride.com or by calling the Ticket Office in Trego at 715-635-3200.
