SHELL LAKE, Wis. -- WCCO’s NEXT Weather meteorologists Chris Shaffer and Joseph Dames will visit Shell Lake, Wisc. on Thursday, July 25 and Friday, July 26 as part of WCCO’s summertime series, “Goin’ to the Lake”.
Cameras will roll as Chris and Joseph visit local businesses, participate in community traditions, explore the area’s history, and dine at favorite eateries.
“I’ve completed the triangle of Cumberland, Spooner and Rice Lake. But I’ve never spent time in Shell Lake. That’s about to change, and I can’t wait,” Chris said. “There are Goin’ to the Lake stories living in the walls of WCCO, and this summer, I get to build a few stories of my own to bring back to the station!” added Joseph.
In addition to filming activities throughout the day, Chris and Joseph will be live throughout the area at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Thursday and 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday.
This summer will mark the tenth year that WCCO has produced the popular summertime series. “Goin’ to the Lake!” highlights all that Minnesota and Western Wisconsin have to offer for outdoor living. Whether it’s spending time on the water, exploring local history, or taking in the area’s finest cuisine, WCCO is there to highlight the best that cabin country has to offer.
