Xavier Williams appeared in Washburn County Circuit Court on Thursday, October 13th, 2016 and entered a plea of not guilty to all his charges. Mr. Williams is charged with Felony Receipt of Stolen Property – a Firearm; Possessing Marijuana with Intent to Deliver or Distribute; Carrying a Concealed Weapon; and Possessing Drug Paraphernalia.
Mr. Williams waived his right to a preliminary examination hearing in which the Court would hear testimony regarding the probable cause of the charges filed against him. A demand for a speedy jury trial was filed by Mr. Williams attorney.
Mr. Williams' attorney also requested that the court modify his bail bond conditions, however the Court denied that motion and at the time of this story Mr. Williams remains in the custody of the Washburn County Sheriff's Office.
Mr. Williams is due again in court on October 17th, 2016.

High-Speed Chase In Spooner Results In Felony Charges

A high-speed chase last week in Spooner, WI, has led to criminal charges against a man from Racine, WI.
On October 4th, 2016 felony charges were filed in Washburn County Circuit Court against Xavier E. Williams, of Racine, WI, for Felony Receipt of Stolen Property – a Firearm; Possessing Marijuana with Intent to Deliver or Distribute; Carrying a Concealed Weapon; and Possessing Drug Paraphernalia.
According to public record obtained by DrydenWire.com, Spooner Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle which was speeding within the City of Spooner on September 29th, 2016. The subsequent investigation resulted in officers locating a stolen loaded handgun, over 50 grams of marijuana, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Xavier Williams. Mr. Williams also has an open court case in Racine County, WI with charges filed against him of Felony Child Abuse, Felony Srangulation & Suffocation, Misdemeanor Battery and Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct.
Cash bail bond in Washburn County Circuit Court in the amount of $10,000 was set on October 3rd and at the time of this story Mr. Williams remains in the custody of the Washburn County Jail. He is due again in court in Washburn County on October 13th, 2016.
