Two-Vehicle Crash Leaves Motorcyclist With Life-Threatening Injuries In Polk County

POLK COUNTY -- At 4:55p on Tuesday August 29, 2023, a crash occurred on WIS 35 SB at 20th Ave. in Polk County near Osceola.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol (WSP), the Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Hwy 35 near 20th avenue which is south of Osceola.

A 2009 Harley-Davidson was southbound on STH 35 when a 2017 Dodge Ram was pulling out from a farm address onto northbound STH 35. The Dodge Ram pulled out into the path of the Harley-Davidson. The operator of the motorcycle braked and laid down the motorcycle prior to striking the Dodge Ram at the driver’s door.

The motorcycle operator was flown to Regions hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 73-year-old operator of the Dodge Ram was not injured.

Both north and southbound lanes were shut down as a result of the crash. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.

  • Enforcement Action: Pending Investigation

Assisting agencies included Polk County Sheriff’s Department , Osceola Fire Department , and Osceola EMS.
