WASHBURN COUNTY (DrydenWire) - A 2023 traffic stop by Wisconsin State Patrol Troopers on a vehicle in the Town of Sarona, Washburn County led to charges for two people and the seizure of heroin, marijuana, mushrooms, ecstasy pills, prescription pills, a digital scale, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia along with nearly $1,500 in cash.
The passenger in the vehicle, Martin Stolp, received numerous drug-related charges, and the driver, Christopher Ottinger, was charged with Operating with a Restricted Controlled Substance - 1st Offense.
Christopher was previously sentenced in December 2023 on his conviction.
Martin appeared for a court hearing on April 29, 2024, and Circuit Court Judge Angeline Winton sentenced him per a settlement agreement proposed by Washburn County Assistant D.A. Christian Ness and Martin’s defense counsel.
