SHELL LAKE, WI -- Washburn County is currently accepting applications for a 32-hour-per-week Transport Driver/Backup Dispatcher for the ADRC of Washburn County. The driver will transport elderly and or disabled citizens in and outside of Washburn County to various destinations such as grocery shopping or to doctors’ appointments. Candidates should have experience working with older adults and/or people with disabilities. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, be certified or be willing to become certified in CPR, AED, and first aid, and be able to procure a Passenger Assistance Techniques Certification (PAT); have good communication skills and possess a valid Wisconsin Driver’s license with a good driving record. This position also will require being a backup dispatcher for the Program Coordinator. Starting pay would be $15.03 per hour.
