Town Of Long Lake Awarded Disaster Reimbursement Funding From Wisconsin Disaster Fund

WASHBURN COUNTY - Washburn County Emergency Management wishes to announce that the Town of Long Lake has been awarded disaster reimbursement funding from the Wisconsin Disaster Fund (WDF).

The WDF Fund was created by order of the 2005 Wisconsin Act 269 and enacted April 5, 2006, to provide state disaster assistance to local governmental units. This assistance is in the form of reimbursement for 70% of the WDF eligible costs of completing recovery efforts after a major catastrophe when federal assistance is not available and when WDF funds are available.

The Town of Long Lake documented the damages and the recovery costs for the Severe Weather – Winter Storm – ICE on 12/13/2022. The Wisconsin Disaster Fund has verified that the cost of recovery efforts totaled $11,737.00.
