SPOONER, Wis. — The Body Shop Fitness Centers are excited to announce a new instructor and a dance class. The dance class, called WERQ, is coming to the Spooner location starting Friday, January 7, 2022.
These Friday classes, led by Shelli, a new Body Shop Fitness instructor, begin at 4:30p and go until 5:30p.
Hi, I'm Shelli. In my younger days I was never considered an athlete or a pro at anything physical; however, eight years ago I realized that if I didn't force myself to start loving something physical, my health was headed nowhere good. After a little research, I found wildly addictive and fun WERQ dance fitness! Today, I am a CPR, WERQ, and ACE certified group fitness instructor in my 7th year of teaching, and I LOVE it. My biggest motivation comes from my class participants. I like to focus on positivity, and inclusion, with a huge helping of humor. I know everyone and anyone can be successful in their own fitness journey, and I love being a part of them all. I've recently moved to Shell Lake with my husband and cats, where I discovered an amazing local gym, The Body Shop. It is the perfect new home for my class.
Classes are free for Body Shop Fitness members, however, non-members can also participate in the class for a nominal fee of $10. For more information, call or visit the Body Shop Fitness Centers at either their Shell Lake or Spooner locations.
