SPOONER, WI - The Spooner Police Department has announced that it will be hosting a comprehensive multi-agency training exercise on June 6th, 2023. The exercise, set to begin at approximately 7:30 am and conclude around 1:00 pm, will take place at the Spooner Middle School located in the heart of the city. This initiative aims to enhance emergency response capabilities and coordination among various agencies in a controlled environment.

The training exercise will involve the active participation of several esteemed organizations, including the Spooner Police Department, the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WI DNR), the Washburn County Sheriff's Office, the Spooner Fire Department, Minong Ambulance, North Memorial Ambulance, Birchwood Ambulance, and the Spooner School District Staffing.

Chief Mike Kronberger of the Spooner Police Department emphasized that this training exercise is solely intended to simulate emergency scenarios and should not be mistaken for an actual threat. By engaging in this large-scale exercise, local law enforcement and emergency response teams aim to fine-tune their skills and improve their collective ability to protect the community.
