Spooner Health Now Seeking Candidate For A Full-Time Emergency Department Director

SPOONER, WI – Spooner Health is now seeking candidates for an Emergency Department Director.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer the Trauma Coordinator, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of patient care to trauma patients. Also provides administrative direction to development and evaluation of the Trauma Program and all nursing personnel in the emergency department, maintains operational aspects of the Trauma Program in collaboration with Senior Leadership support. Contributes to nursing and the organization through support of philosophy, objectives and educational efforts in the care of trauma patients. The Trauma Coordinator will act as a liaison with appropriate agencies or activities specific to trauma services.

Requirements of the position include:

Currently licensed in the state of WI as a Registered Nurse.
ACLS and CALS with Trauma Module Certification or agreement to obtain within 6 months of assuming the position.
Clinical experience in Emergency Nursing with recent knowledge of nursing and medical theory relevant to trauma care.
Excellent skills in written and verbal communication.
Maintain 16 hours of continuing trauma education every 4 years (4 hours shall be formal and 12 hours may be informal).
