GRANTSBURG, WI — Authorities have issued a Silver Alert for Ronald James Pitts, an 84-year-old man from Grantsburg, Wisconsin, who has been reported missing, according to the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network.
Pitts was last seen in Sawyer County on February 6, 2025, but the exact time of his disappearance remains unknown. Concern arose after he missed a scheduled doctor’s appointment in Minnesota. A welfare check at his residence confirmed that both he and his vehicle were missing.
Pitts is described as a white male, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. It is unknown what he was last wearing. Authorities note that he has been experiencing memory issues and symptoms of dementia.
He is believed to be traveling in a black 2021 Jeep Renegade with Wisconsin license plate AMK2588. His direction of travel is unknown.
The Burnett County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Pitts.
