RUSK COUNTY (DrydenWire) - Criminal charges from a June 2022 standoff with police in Rusk County have resulted in a criminal conviction for a second man.
Shane and Jacob Shimko were arrested after the lengthy standoff with law enforcement, and both received criminal charges. Jacob was previously sentenced in October 2022. At a recent hearing, Shane changed his plea to his charge and was sentenced by the Court.
