BLOOMER, WI -- Wisconsin State Representative Rob Summerfield announces his candidacy for re-election to the newly drawn 68th Assembly District.
“It’s been an honor to serve the people of northwest Wisconsin in the Assembly. The district lines may have changed, but my dedication to constituents and our region remains the same. I worked to ensure our rural communities get the resources they need, reduced the tax burden on families, retirees, and small businesses, expanded broadband, helped fix our road and bridges, and much more. I’ll continue addressing critical issues facing our state while also stopping democrats’ radical agenda.”
This session, Rep. Summerfield authored legislation that reallocated 15 million dollars to our area for emergency services in response to hospital closures, helped alleviate the workforce shortage in our healthcare system by allowing more CNA’s to be hired as part-time employees, increased the effectiveness and efficiency of the state’s broadband grant program, and successfully pushed to increase the reimbursement rate for patients who are in need of ventilator care. He also fought fraud and abuse of taxpayer funded programs, passed billions in tax relief, and forced a reduction in divisive DEI programming in our UW-System.
State Representative James “Jimmy Boy” Edming endorsed Rob Summerfield for re-election:
“While it was incredibly difficult to decide not to seek re-election to the State Assembly, I know that my constituents who now reside in the new 68th Assembly District will be represented well by Rob,” said Rep. Edming. “Together he and I fought successfully to stop the extreme liberal agenda pushed by Governor Evers and Democrats in Madison. We also made sure to get common sense reforms passed to help our families, businesses, and communities. I encourage everyone who has supported me over the years to join me in supporting Rob this fall and send a proven conservative back to Madison.”
Rep. Summerfield is from Bloomer, Wisconsin and is a former small business owner.
