Rep. Sapik Fights For Middle Class Tax Cut

MADISON, WI - Representative Angie Sapik (R-Lake Nebagamon) issued the following statement in support of the Republican Legislative Tax Cut/Reform proposal¹ that was introduced yesterday in the state Assembly and Senate:

"I am proud to stand with my Republican colleagues in offering a bold and comprehensive tax relief plan to benefit millions of Wisconsin families, seniors, farmers, and veterans. Our proposal would use our record-breaking surplus to return $2 billion to the hardworking taxpayers who created it while simplifying the tax code and eliminating wasteful loopholes.

Our plan would lower income taxes for every bracket, with the most considerable savings going to the middle class. It would also expand the tax exemption for retirement income, create a childcare tax credit, and reduce property taxes. These measures would make Wisconsin more affordable and attractive for people to live, work, and retire. You know how to spend your money better than the government does. We are committed to delivering this historic tax cut to you soon.
