Rep. Green: Votes To Protect Women’s Sports

MADISON, WI — Representative Chanz Green (R-Grand View) issued the following statement after voting with his Republican colleagues on protecting women’s sports at the K-12 level and the University of Wisconsin and technical college level based on the birth gender of the participants:

“Women’s sports have been under attack because of gender ideology, and it is time we protect the integrity of women’s sports. Biological males being allowed to play in women’s sports has cost females the opportunity of winning championships, getting scholarships, and even participation. Assembly Bills 377 and 378 will protect women’s sports and ensure a level playing field is achieved.”

AB 377 and AB 378 now head to the state Senate for consideration.

Representative Green also issued the following statement after voting in favor of a resolution to condemn the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel:

“Israel is an ally of the United States, and it must stand with them to condemn these attacks by Hamas, a United States-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization. Israel has every right to defend itself and should do so to the fullest extent. I was happy to vote in favor of this resolution to stand in solidarity for Israel’s sovereignty and security.”
