MADISON, WI – Assembly Speaker Robin Vos has announced the chairs and vice chairs of the Assembly’s standing committees for the upcoming 2025-2026 legislative session. In this announcement, Speaker Vos appointed State Rep. Dave Armstrong (R-Rice Lake) to chair the Assembly Committee on Small Business Development.
“It’s an honor to chair the small business development committee next session,” Representative Armstrong said. “As Barron County’s economic development director, I’ve helped many small businesses get off the ground, and I look forward to bringing that experience to the committee as chair.”
Representative Armstrong will also serve as vice chair of the Assembly Committee on Rural Development, which he chaired in the 2023-2024 session.
Representative Armstrong will begin his third term in the State Assembly on January 6, 2025. After serving two terms as Representative for the 75th Assembly District, Representative Armstrong was elected in November 2024 as Representative for the redrawn 67th Assembly District, which includes Barron County, northern Dunn County, and the Village of New Auburn and the Town of Auburn in Chippewa County.
