Polk County Sheriff's Office Arrests Fugitive On Second-Degree Murder Warrant

POLK COUNTY — In a coordinated arrest operation, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office successfully apprehended 32-year-old Jack Guy, a fugitive wanted for second-degree murder in Hennepin County, Minnesota.

According to Polk County Sheriff Brent Waak, the arrest took place on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at approximately 1:30p, at an apartment in rural Balsam Lake, Wisconsin.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team executed the operation without incident, taking Guy into custody before transferring him to the Polk County Jail.

Guy, facing a second-degree murder warrant from Hennepin County, will remain in custody in Polk County pending extradition proceedings, according to Sheriff Waak.

The arrest was a collaborative effort involving multiple law enforcement and emergency services agencies. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from the New Hope Police Department, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, and Lakes Region EMS.
