SAWYER COUNTY (DrydenWire) - On the night of September 14, 2024, a routine response by Sawyer County law enforcement to a vehicle in a ditch on County Highway N in Sawyer County, Wisconsin, led to the arrest of 69-year-old Larry La Sieur, of Hayward, WI for his seventh offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
La Sieur, a Hayward resident with a lengthy history of OWI convictions dating back to 1992, complied with field sobriety testing, and officers at the scene observed multiple signs of impairment. Subsequent testing on a blood sample from La Sieur revealed blood alcohol concentration well over the legal limit.
