BURNETT COUNTY (DrydenWire) - A fatal crash occurred late Monday night when a vehicle rolled multiple times and ended up partially submerged in water near Bass Lake Lumber on State Highway 48, according to a press release from the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office.

On May 13, 2024 at 11:28 p.m., Burnett County Dispatch received a call of a one vehicle crash near Bass Lake Lumber on State Highway 48 in the Town of Trade Lake. It was reported the vehicle had rolled several times. Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS were sent.
Upon arrival a person was found to be trapped under the vehicle that was partially submerged in approximately two feet of water. The person under the vehicle, later determined to be the driver, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This case is still under investigation and no further details will be released at this time.
