BARRON COUNTY — Cumberland resident Brady Raasch was arrested after an incident at the BP Gas Station, where he allegedly pointed a firearm and retreated into his home before surrendering to police, according to a press release from the Cumberland Police Department.

On September 11, 2024, at approximately 7:00 pm, officers with the Cumberland Police Department were dispatched to the area of the BP Gas Station for a report of a male subject outside armed with firearm, yelling profanities.
Upon officers arriving in the area, a male subject was observed crouched down near a parked vehicle, holding what appeared to be a rifle. Officers identified themselves and gave the male commands to drop the weapon, but he stood up, gestured at the officers, and retreated into the residence located at 1650 2nd Avenue where he resides.
Cumberland Officers waited for additional law enforcement to arrive while taking cover and maintaining visual contact of the residence.
Law enforcement with Turtle Lake Police Department and Barron County Sheriff's Office arrived on scene.
After several minutes, the male subject exited the residence, unarmed, and was taken into custody. He was identified as Cumberland resident Brady Raasch.
Brady Raasch appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and witnesses advised they had observed the suspect point the firearm at a male subject walking near the residence during the incident.
A search warrant was obtained to search the above-mentioned residence for the firearm used. The firearm was located within the residence, which was a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun.
A warrant was also approved to obtain a blood sample from Brady Raasch to be tested to determine his blood alcohol concentration for the offense of Endangering Safety- Armed while Intoxicated.
Brady Raasch was transported to the Barron County Jail where he is awaiting formal charges.
Cumberland Police Department was assisted by the Barron County Sheriff"s Office and Turtle Lake Police Department.
