POLK COUNTY (DrydenWire) -- Authorities on Thursday released the names of the two victims who died following a multi-vehicle crash in Polk County on Wednesday evening.

The Wisconsin State Patrol issued the following update:

Unit 1: Van/SUV (2004 Toyota Rav4)

  • Driver: Kelly, Lamont Lynn
    • 66-Year-Old Male From Deer Park WI
  • Injuries: Fatal

Unit 2: Van/SUV (2016 Toyota Avalon)

  • Passenger: Mclean, Martha Leora
    • 92-Year-Old Female From Mission TX
  • Injuries: Fatal

POLK COUNTY (DrydenWire) -- A devastating crash unfolded on US 8 EB at 33rd St. in Polk County on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at approximately 5:41p, leaving two people dead and three others injured.

The incident prompted a swift response from multiple agencies, including the Polk County Sheriff's Department, Apple River Fire Department, and Turtle Lake Fire Department.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered the life-altering consequences of the collision.

The passenger of one of the vehicles, a 92-year-old female from Mission, Texas, was tragically pronounced deceased.
