President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran would "give an appropriate response" to the attack, which killed at least four soldiers, adding that Tehran did not seek war.

Israel said it targeted military sites in several regions of Iran on Saturday in retaliation for Iranian attacks, including a barrage of almost 200 ballistic missiles fired towards Israel on 1 October.

It was Oct. 26, 1882, in Angoon, a Tlingit village of about 420 people in the southeastern Alaska panhandle. Now, 142 years later, the perpetrator of the bombardment — the U.S. Navy —has apologized.

There’s a rare point of agreement among Republican and Democratic candidates this election year: America has a drug problem and it’s fentanyl traffickers’ fault.

Republicans, including former President Donald Trump, are hammering Democrats over border policies they say have allowed fentanyl to surge into the country. Democrats, including Vice President Kamala Harris, respond that they, too, have cracked down on traffickers and want stricter border enforcement.

Wisconsin Election Officials Report 40% Jump In Early Voting

Wisconsin elections officials are reporting a nearly 40% increase in early in-person absentee voting over 2020.

Early in-person absentee voting began Oct. 22 in the battleground state. The Wisconsin Elections Commission announced that as of the morning of Friday, Oct. 25, 292,702 people had voted early in-person compared with 209,665 as of the morning of Friday, Oct. 23, 2020.

VP Kamala Harris To Host Rally And Concert In Madison Wednesday

According to a release from the Harris-Walz campaign, Vice President Kamala Harris will host a rally and concert in Madison on Wednesday, October 30.

This concert and rally is part of a series of 'When We Vote We Win' events featuring musical performances focused on getting voters in battleground states to the polls, says the release.

His running mate is returning to Wisconsin Monday.

Ohio U.S. Sen. JD Vance will speak in Wausau at the downtown airport before heading to Racine.

Vance is expected to encourage Wisconsinites to get out and vote right away and promote Trump’s plan to eliminate taxes on Social Security, overtime and tips.

Eau Claire Man Wins Elon Musk’s $1M Voter Sweepstakes Which May Violate Election Law

A man from Eau Claire has reportedly won $1 million from the tech billionaire Elon Musk as part of a giveaway tied to the presidential election that the U.S. Department of Justice has warned may violate federal election law.

Musk, who owns the social media website X, has been giving away the money to random winners selected from entrants who live in swing states, register to vote, and sign a petition to support the First and Second Amendment.

It is illegal to pay people to register to vote. Musk, who is an outspoken supporter of former President Donald Trump, has said the giveaways do not require people to register with any particular party, or even to cast a ballot.
