The first full moon of the year, also known as the Wolf Moon, has appeared, according to NASA.

It first appeared Sunday and will extend into Wednesday morning. The full moon will reach peak illumination beginning at 5:27 p.m. ET Monday.

The Wolf Moon is derived from Native American culture, in which during this time wolf packs could be heard howling on the outskirts of villages, according to NASA.

Bond Set At $5 Million For Man Accused Of New Lisbon Triple Homicide

The man accused of killing three people in New Lisbon had his cash bond set at $5 million in court on Friday.

Virgil Thew, 47, is accused of three charges of first-degree intentional homicide, and additional charges were also included. He now faces three charges of hiding a corpse, possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, taking and driving a vehicle without consent and a misdemeanor charge of obstructing an officer.
