Tens of thousands of activists are expected to protest in Chicago this week, threatening to overshadow the Democratic National Convention as the party looks to rally around its newly minted presidential ticket.

Many of the protesters will be there to voice anger over the Biden administration’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war. In recent days, they have started to turn their attention to Vice President Harris, the new Democratic presidential nominee, interrupting her at multiple rallies.

Perdue Foods is recalling more than 167,000 pounds of frozen chicken nuggets and tenders after some customers reported finding metal wire embedded in the products.

According to Perdue and the U.S. Agriculture Department's Food Safety and Inspection Service, the recall covers select lots of three products: Perdue Breaded Chicken Tenders, Butcher Box Organic Chicken Breast Nuggets and Perdue Simply Smart Organics Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets.

US And South Korea Begin Military Drills Aimed At Strengthening Their Defense Against North Korea

U.S. and South Korean troops kicked off a large-scale exercise Monday aimed at strengthening their combined defense capabilities against nuclear-armed North Korea, which again accused the allies of practicing an invasion.

The annual summertime exercise comes amid heightened tensions on the Korean Peninsula as the pace of both North Korea’s weapons demonstrations and the U.S.-South Korea combined military exercises have intensified in a cycle of tit-for-tat.

“For 12 years every election cycle, democrats started at the 30-yard line because of gerrymandering but now the era of gerrymandering is over and the game starts at the middle of the field the way it’s supposed to,” said Ben Wikler, the chair for the Wisconsin Democratic Party, in a press conference on Friday morning.

A Democratic Party staffer has filed a complaint with the Wisconsin Elections Commission saying that the Green Party, which had achieved ballot access in the key battleground state this past year, should not be on the ballot.

In the complaint, Democratic National Committee Deputy Operations Director in Wisconsin David Strange alleges that the Green Party does not have anyone who would be allowed by state law to be a nominator for the Green Party's presidential electors -- meaning they cannot give a valid list of presidential electors, voiding their eligibility on the ticket.
