Mayo Clinic Health System Hometown Health Grant Awards Northlakes Community Clinic $10,000

TURTLE LAKE, WI — NorthLakes Community Clinic (NLCC) received a $10,000 Mayo Clinic Health System Hometown Health Grant to assist in expanding their Behavioral Health Wing in Turtle Lake. The clinic recently underwent a 4,600 square feet expansion to expand its dental, behavioral health, recovery, chiropractic, health, and wellness support services. The funding was used to purchase media equipment that will assist in virtual visits including a large screen TV with an attached computer, programming, and a speaker/soundbar with video.

NLCC began offering services in Turtle Lake in 2015 after acquiring a small community dental practice. Since then, the clinic has expanded to provide roughly 16,000 encounters annually to over 2,000 patients in the Turtle Lake area.

"The increased space will not only allow NorthLakes to enhance the services we already offer, but it also puts the clinic in the position to better respond to additional needs that the community may have in the future," said NorthLakes CEO Reba Rice. "NorthLakes looks forward to continuing to work within the Turtle Lake community and with partners such as Mayo Clinic Health System to improve the health of communities in Northwest Wisconsin."
