BURNETT COUNTY (DrydenWire) - An investigation by the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office into a series of break-ins, burglaries, and thefts that occurred in 2023 and resulted in criminal charges for three individuals: James J. Pijanowski, Jr. (age 30, of Danbury, WI), Christine M. Stoll (age 31, of Webster, WI), and Milo C. Merrill, Jr. (age 40).
Numerous criminal complaints were filed in Burnett County Circuit Court against the three individuals. The charges against Merrill were later dismissed upon a motion from the Burnett County District Attorney.
Stoll was sentenced on convictions from her charges at a hearing on September 5, 2024.
Pijanowski has now been sentenced as well.
