Bruce Bible, of Hibbing, MN, was sentenced in Washburn County Circuit Court on December 20, 2016, for Felony Possession of Cocaine.
A drug bust by Spooner Police Department in September of this year has resulted in a felony conviction for one man. Bruce Bible plead guilty on November 3, 2016, to a charge of Felony Possession of Cocaine based on a traffic stop conducted by a Spooner Police Officer on September 20, 2016; reported on by DrydenWire.com at that time. Bible was also charged with Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Those charges were dismissed.
Bible was sentenced to 2 years of probation supervision by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Probation and Parole; he was given credit for 91 days of time served in county jail.
Bruce Bible's brother, Brandon Bible was also charged as a result of the traffic stop by Spooner Police Department. Brandon's charges were dismissed on November 3, 2016. According to public record, on November 3, 2016, at Bruce Bible's plea hearing, he admitted to the Court that the controlled substances located by Spooner Police at the time of the traffic stop were his and the State then moved to dismiss Brandon Bible's charges.
Minnesota Circuit Court Public records show that Bruce Bible was also convicted of possession of controlled substances in 2006.

Charges Filed After Drug Bust in Spooner

On September 20th, 2016, Spooner Police Officers arrested two men, brothers, from Minnesota after a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle resulted in the discovery of cocaine and marijuana. The Washburn County District Attorney's Office filed charges of Felony Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia against Bruce Bible of Minneapolis, MN on September 23rd, 2016. That same day, charges of Felony Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia were also filed against Brandon Bible of Hibbing, MN.
Brandon and Bruce were traveling through Washburn County and while driving through Spooner were stopped by Spooner Police Officer Brugman for speeding. Officer Brugman identified the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and assisted by Officer Peterson conducted preliminary searches of Brandon and Bruce, and the vehicle they were traveling in; a white Pontiac with no license plates. Officers found cocaine and marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia and a scale.
According to Spooner Police Department's press release on Monday, September 26th, 2016, officers then applied for and were granted a search warrant for the Pontiac. The execution of the search warrant revealed an additional 19 grams of suspected cocaine.
Cash bail bond in the amount of $5,000.00 was set for both Bruce and Brandon on September 21st, 2016.
