Lakeplace.com Shell Lake is kicking off their Giving Back campaign in honor of Veteran's Day by teaming up with the Shell Lake Veterans Center.
While discussing their needs, it was determined that the Veterans Center building requires several internal improvements including a furnace and new windows. To begin fundraising efforts, Lakeplace.com has donated $500 and is asking the public to also assist in this endeavor. Additionally, Lakeplace.com is coordinating with several local contractors to assist in the remodeling effort. Updates on that progress will be coming in the next few weeks.
The Shell Lake Veterans Center, located at 408 1st Street, currently serves more than 40 members of the American Legion, VFW and Honor Guard. More assistance is needed to create a usable building that is well deserved for each of these members who served. Any and all additional donations are welcome and can either be dropped off at Lakeplace.com’s Shell Lake office located at 21 5th Ave, Shell Lake or mailed to Lakeplace.com, Dave McNulty, PO Box 217, Shell Lake, WI 54871.
