ST CROIX FALLS, WI (DrydenWire) - On February 25, 2024, St. Croix County Sheriff Scott Knudson created a heartfelt video to address what is happening with Law Enforcement across America; it went viral. Host, Kirk Anderson, watches the video LIVE and reacts during the live show.
On February 18, 2024, we woke up to learn that 3 Burnsville Police Officers and 1 paramedic had been shot in a domestic violence call. Two of the officers, Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Rude, and Parmedic Adam Finseth were killed in the line of duty.
There was an incredible outpouring of support from the community, including ordinary citizens who wanted to support their local heroes. In a reversal from previous actions, there were also a lot of politicians who have openly called for the defunding of the police, accusing police in general of being racist and bigoted. Now, as the community rallies in support of law enforcement, these leaders are rushing to make statements in support of the fallen officers and appear at rallies for them for photo ops. This has not gone unnoticed by citizens, but also law enforcement who have felt abandoned over the past 4 years.
Join Kirk Anderson as he reacts to the video and gives some context as a city mayor and firefighter/first responder.
