RUSK COUNTY (DrydenWire) – A late-night traffic stop in Rusk County led to a significant drug bust and the arrest of a repeat offend. A Sheriff's Deputy on patrol encountered a pickup truck stopped in the middle of the road, prompting an investigation that escalated into a brief pursuit and the deployment of a K9 unit. The suspect, 50-year-old Patrick J. Buswell of Holcombe, WI, was found in possession of over 35 grams of methamphetamine, nearly 80 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a BB gun resembling a firearm. Authorities also discovered $1,002 in cash.

Buswell, who has a history of OWI convictions and was out on multiple bail conditions, now faces a series of felony and misdemeanor charges.
