WASHBURN COUNTY (DrydenWire) - A jury in Washburn County Circuit Court has handed down a verdict against 45-year-old Gerald Smith, formerly of Turtle Lake, WI, on criminal charges for child abuse that were filed following a July 2023 incident at the Spooner Fairgrounds, after the 2023 Spooner Rodeo. Smith was charged with injuring two children during the incident.
