BARRON COUNTY (DrydenWire) – A jury has convicted a man on felony charges in Barron County Circuit Court in connection with a fatal motorcycle collision on August 19, 2023. The crash claimed the life of 37-year-old Charles Kee of Rice Lake, WI.
Five individuals received criminal charges related to the crash: Tyler Baker (age 32, of Rice Lake, WI), Brett Hrdlicka (age 32, of Rice Lake, WI), Dustin Puig (age 33, of Ladysmith, WI), Bailey Basham (age 32, of Rice Lake, WI), and Ashley Walton (age 29, of Rice Lake, WI). Four of the five have been sentenced.
The Court sentenced Basham and Walton in August 2024, and Puig in September 2024 on their convictions.
Hrdlicka was sentenced at a recent court hearing in January 2025 on a conviction from his criminal case, more information on that is included in the post below.
A 2-day jury trial for the case filed against Baker commenced on January 15, 2025. The jury returned their verdict, details are included below.
