This week, Ben & Fitzy will be joined by Jenifer Mason. Jenifer is the Executive Director of Benjamin's House Emergency Shelter on Heart Island in Rice Lake. As the primary leader, she is responsible for developing, directing, and coordinating all operations necessary for the House to maintain consistent achievement. Jenifer collaborates with a dedicated Board of Directors to strengthen their support towards fulfilling the mission: Working together with others to provide shelter, food, support services and an avenue for self-sufficiency for the homeless and people in need.
Jenifer says that the best part of her day is walking about the shelter, meeting with residents and staff, and hearing their successes of the day.
Since the shelter opened Benjamin's House has impacted over 1,400 lives in 12 Years, with over 75,000 bednights serving more than 270 Veterans & Aging (55+) and more than 325 families.
