SIREN, WI — The Siren Police Department, with assistance from the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office and school officials, is investigating allegations of inappropriate student behavior at Siren Elementary School, according to a press release from the Siren Police Department.

On Monday, November 4, 2024, the Siren Police Department was made aware of allegations of inappropriate behavior/contact between students at the Siren Elementary School. It was learned that the latest incident of behavior had occurred on the previous Friday and at least one other occasion previous.
Chief Trevor Thiex conducted interviews with involved parties and witnesses with the assistance of school officials and the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office Detective Unit.
The Siren School District is conducting a parallel investigation as required by federal law.
At this time, there is no additional risk to the student population.
Appropriate charging decisions are still being considered before referral to the next step of the juvenile judicial system.
