'Focus on the Faculty': PK-6 Principal, Laura Stunkel

(Via Shell Lake School District) Today on “Focus on the Faculty” we feature our wonderful PK-6 grade principal, Laura Stunkel.

Mrs. Stunkel is from Phillips, WI. After High School she attended UW-River Falls - Undergrad, UW-Eau Claire - Masters Degree and Silver Lake College to get her Principal and Director of Instruction Certification. She is starting her fourth year in Shell Lake. Mrs.Stunkel and her husband, Larry, have three children. They are Tate, Taylor and Dane. Her favorite movie is, The Lion King and her favorite author is Barbara Park. She enjoys walking, playing cards and catching up with family and friends. As a child she always wanted to be a teacher when she grew up. The teacher she remembers most is Mrs. McCarthy, her Kindergarten teacher. She always let her sit on her lap.The thing Mrs. Stunkel loves most about working at the Shell Lake school district is, the people.

Once she asked a Kindergartener where her mom works. She responded with, Mrs. Stunkel, where do you work? We were at school at the time. Too funny!
