BURNETT COUNTY (DrydenWire) - The first of two who received charges following law enforcement’s investigation into a string of burglaries in Burnett County has been sentenced. Kaydee Mortensen, age 32, and Avery Weaver, age 30, were taken into custody following a high-speed pursuit and each received dozens of charges, including burglary and theft in addition to multiple charges filed against them in other counties.
Weaver is scheduled to appear next in September 2024 regarding the charges against him.
Mortensen appeared for a recent hearing in Burnett County Circuit Court and was sentenced on her convictions.
