Felony charges have been filed in Washburn County Circuit Court against a man who was arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol on July 5, 2017.

Online circuit court records show that a criminal complaint was filed on October 20, 2017, in Washburn County Circuit Court against Edward Fischer stemming from an incident in which he was arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol on July 5, 2017, for OWI/Drugged Driving 1^st Offense. A press release issued by the State Patrol was published by DrydenWire.com on July 6, 2017.

Fischer is now facing the following charges in Washburn County Circuit Court”

1. Class I Felony Possession of Marijuana (2^nd + Offense)
2. Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
3. Misdemeanor Operate with Restricted Controlled Substance (1^st w/Minor Passenger under 16 years old)

According to online circuit court records, Fischer appeared in Washburn County Circuit Court on October 23, 2017, regarding his criminal charges and the Court placed Fischer on a signature bond.

According to the State Patrol's press release, at the time of the incident, Fischer had two children, ages 5 & 6, in the vehicle.

Edward J Fischer, 40 years of age, from Pulaski has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with two children in the vehicle under the age of 16.

While assisting Washburn County, a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper from the Spooner Post arrested Edward J Fischer for OWI/Drugged Driving 1st offense. Mr. Fischer had two children, a 5-year-old and a 6-year-old in the vehicle with him.

Mr. Fischer was taken to Shell Lake for a legal blood draw and then turned over to the staff at the Washburn County Jail.
