BURNETT COUNTY -- A man has been sentenced on numerous cases charging him with burglary in Burnett County Circuit Court.
DrydenWire.com previously reported that Earl Baker, of Grantsburg, WI, was facing numerous criminal charges stemming from a burglary spree throughout the summer months of 2016.
Baker appeared this week for a sentencing hearing in Burnett County Circuit Court on charges including:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
- Drive or Operate Motor Vehicle w/o Owner's Consent
- Felony Receiving Stolen Property
- Misdemeanor Theft
- Misdemeanor Criminal Damage
- Misdemeanor Receiving or Concealing Stolen Property
- Resisting or Obstructing
The Court ordered an 8 year imposed and stayed sentence with probation; should Baker fail to successfully complete his probation, he faces confinement in state prison. Remaining charges against Baker were dismissed and / or read in by the Court, inlcuding a Polk County Circuit Court case charging Baker with Felony Theft.
Conditions of probation will require Baker to complete an Alcohol and Other Drug Assessment, engage in sobriety meetings, reside at a sober house (until ordered otherwise by the Department of Corrections), maintain gainful employment or continuing education, complete 120 hours of community service within 2 years of his sentencing, and make monthly restitution payments.
