(DrydenWire) -- The Court has bound over for trial the case charging Michael Townsend, age 30, of Chetek, WI, with the attempted homicide of his mother following a preliminary examination hearing in Barron County Circuit Court on July 24, 2023.
The charges were filed against Townsend following an incident on June 5, 2023, when Barron County Dispatch received a call from a distressed woman stating that her son had stabbed her. Multiple agencies assisted the Barron County Sheriff’s Office with the safe resolution of the incident that culminated in the arrest of Townsend.
