BURNETT COUNTY -- A single-vehicle crash in Burnett County has resulted in the death of Billie Jean Marie Kozak, 33 years old, from Grantsburg, WI, according to a press release from the Burnett County Sheriff's Office.

On July 4, 2021 at 6:33am, the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a significant crash near the intersection of County Highway D and Klarquist Road in Lincoln Township.
Upon arriving on scene the Deputy was shown a female who had been ejected from the crash and was deceased.
The female was identified as Billie Jean Marie Kozak, 33 years old, from Grantsburg, WI.
The crash investigation showed that the 2006 Pontiac was traveling westbound on County Highway D and left the roadway on the north side. The vehicle travelled 282 feet in the ditch, struck a tree and flipped over landing back on its tires.
Further investigation is pending autopsy results.
